COLLABORATION
The South West is most popular destination outside London in the UK and has a huge diversity of product on offer catering for all budgets and tastes.
SWTA works closely with both regional and national organisations.
Regionally we work closely with the Destination Marketing Organisations and LVEP’s. These include Visit Cornwall and iOS, Visit Devon, Visit Somerset, Visit Dorset, Visit Exmoor, Visit Plymouth, and the English Riviera. We also work closely with the SW Business Council, National Parks, National Landscapes (formerly AONB’s) and the South West Coast Path.
Nationally we work with the Tourism Alliance, and fully support the work of UK Hospitality, aligning policy and asks of Government as closely as possible.
We have good relationships with the CLA, NFU, Historic Houses, National Trust and many more.
Working with Visit England is one of our Key relationships and we have regular update meetings with them, in particular as we jointly try to move forwards with LVEP’s in the region.
Relationships with Government Departments, both Ministers and Officials are key to getting things done, and sometimes changed, a common voice across the South West helps enormously with the approach.
The South West Tourism Alliance is able to support different tourism stakeholders to come together to collaborate around common themes and funding opportunities as they arise.
